PSSI Asks Indonesian Footballers' Talent Searching System To Be Roadd In The Next Three Months

JAKARTA - PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir asked the Indonesian footballer's talent search system (scouting) to run in the next three months.

"So, in the next three months, we will confirm the scouting of the road system," said Erick Thohir in a video upload on his personal Instagram account, showing his meeting with the Head of the Indonesian National Team Talent Guide (Timnas), Simon Tahamata.

The chairman of PSSI wants to ensure that there is a talent search system that can capture all talents in Indonesia from all levels.

"We want this scoring system to be able to capture all the talents of Indonesian talented players from an early age to senior level," he said.

Erick Thohir further said that Simon would work with all Indonesian national team coaches at all levels to prepare for the scoring system.

"So, Simon will work with coach Patrick Kluivert (Senior Indonesian National Team), coach Gerald Vanenburg (U-23), with U-20, and U-17," said Erick Thohir.

PSSI has appointed Simon Tahamata as the Head of the Indonesian National Team Talent Guide since May 2025.

The legend Ajax Amsterdam and the Dutch national team are expected to help PSSI to find young talents from an early age and hone it to be ready to help the Indonesian national team in the future.
