Cak Imin Staff Muller When Jabat Menakertrans Was Questioned By The KPK Regarding Extortion Of The Management Of Foreign Workers' Permits

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined Muller Silalahi, who was a staff member of Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin while serving as Minister of Manpower and Transmigration (Menakertrans) for the 2009-2014 period.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said investigators were investigating Muller's knowledge of extortion related to the processing of permits for foreign workers (TKA). He was questioned at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Monday, June 16.

"MS, an expert staff of the minister of manpower in 2008-2010, was investigated for his knowledge regarding the giving of money to the suspect," Budi told reporters in his statement quoted on Tuesday, June 17.

Budi said Muller is currently a service agent for managing foreign workers' permits. Previously, Muller was an employee at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, but now he has retired.

"After retiring, the person concerned joined PT TM as an agent for the management of the TKA Use Plan (RPTKA)," he said.

In this case, the KPK has summoned two Special Staff Ida Fauziyah who served as Minister of Manpower for the 2019-2024 period, Caswiyono Rusydie Cakrawangsa and Risharyudi Triwibowo on Tuesday, June 10. They were investigated regarding the flow of extortion money.

In addition, investigators also summoned Luqman Hakim, who is a special staff of the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) in the Hanif Dharmaki era. However, he did not come because he was sick.

The anti-corruption commission is continuing to investigate the flow of extortion money. Information from VOI sources said investigators from the anti-corruption commission had sniffed out the role of the special staff (stafsus) of the Minister of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period in this case.

Previously reported, the KPK officially announced eight suspects in the extortion case for the processing of foreign workers' permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period.

Two of them were Suhartono and Haryanto who had served as Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower. They are suspected of having participated in the flow of extortion money from foreign workers whose value reached Rp53.7 billion.

Meanwhile, the other suspect is Wisnu Pramono as Director of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower; Devi Anggraeni as Coordinator of the PPTKA Feasibility Test for the period 2020-July 2024 then became Director of PPTKA for the period 2024-2025; Gatot Widiartono as Coordinator of Analysis and Control of Foreign Workers The Directorate of Control of the Use of Foreign Workers of the Ministry of Manpower; and Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad who are staff at the Directorate General of Binapenta and PPK.

This case began when the order to extort the applicant was conveyed by Suhartono and Haryanto as former Director General of Binapenta and PKK of the Ministry of Manpower as well as two former Directors of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower Wisnu Pramono and Devi Angraeni. This request was later executed by Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad as verifiers.

The KPK called the mode by prioritizing foreign workers agents who gave money to take care of the Foreign Workers Use Plan (RPTKA) file. Meanwhile, those who did not give money were held back by the application were not even processed.
