After Singapore, Prabowo Continues His Visit To Russia For A Meeting With President Putin
JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto continued his overseas visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, after completing a state visit in Singapore on Monday, June 16 evening.
The PK-GRD presidential plane carrying President Prabowo and his entourage took off from the Singapore Air Force Air Force Base, Paya Lebar Air Base, at around 22.45 local time to Russia.
President Prabowo's departure was released by a number of high-ranking Singaporean officials, including Foreign Minister Vivian Baskrishnan, Singaporean Ambassador to Indonesia Kwok Fook Seng, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo, and the Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore Colonel Pnb. Hendra Supriyadi.
In Russia, President Prabowo is scheduled to make a state visit at a direct invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The main agenda includes bilateral meetings with President Putin, as well as participation as the mainnote speaker at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"This state visit is very strategic to strengthen cooperation and a comprehensive partnership between Indonesia and Russia. This shows that Indonesia is increasingly seen as a big country in the eyes of the world, especially in the midst of increasing global challenges," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
During this visit, President Prabowo also likely will be accompanied by a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
