Head Of BPH Migas Claims To Be Targeted By KPK Regarding Regulations For Natural Gas Distribution
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining the Head of Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory (BPH Migas) Erika Retnowati as a witness today. He admitted that he was questioned regarding the arrangement for natural gas distribution to the arrangement.
This was conveyed by Erika after undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was investigated for corruption in the cooperation in buying and selling gas between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and PT Inti Alasindo Energy (IAE) from 09.45 WIB to 17.03 WIB, Monday, June 16.
"As a regulatory agency, we are confirmed regarding the rules that apply to natural gas distribution. That's all," Erika told reporters at the location.
Erika said the sale and purchase of gas carried out by PT PGN with PT IAE was a business to business (B2B) process. Thus, he fully handed over the law enforcement process to the anti-corruption commission.
"If state losses are not the authority of BPH Migas, just ask the KPK, yes," he said.
Investigators in this case also examined two other witnesses. They are Tutuka Ariadji as the former Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the period 2021 and Sentot Harijady Bradjanto Tri Putro who is the Director of Gas BPH Migas for the period 2021.

Previously reported, the KPK detained two suspects in the corruption case of selling gas between PT PGN and PT Inti Alasindo Energi (IAE) on Friday, April 11. They are Danny Praditya as former Commercial Director of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and Iswan Ibrahim as former Commissioner of PT IAE.
In this case, the KPK has examined 75 people and experts from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Danny and Iswan are suspected of having harmed state finances of 15 million US dollars due to buying and selling gas that is not in accordance with the rules.
