Tensions Rise: Iran Is Ready To Fight Israeli Attacks, Get Pakistan Support
JAKARTA Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian warned Israel of a military response tougher than the Iranian Armed Forces if Tel Aviv continued its attack on the Islamic Republic.
Pezeshkian made this statement in a telephone conversation with Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 15, 2025. During the conversation, Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli aggression which he said was supported by the United States and its allies, and emphasized Iran's readiness to retaliate more strongly if the attacks continued.
He also criticized the double standards of Western countries regarding human rights issues. According to him, countries claiming to defend human rights actually support and facilitate Israel's actions by providing weapons and military equipment.
Even war has its own rules, but the Western-state-backed Zionist regime has ignored all these rules, Pezeshkian stressed.
The Iranian president also responded to an attack by Israel the night before, saying that the Islamic Republic has the ability to defend itself and will not remain silent in the face of aggression against its territory, people, and scientists.
We managed to bring down some of the Zionist regime's military equipment claimed to be stealth and immune. If they return to aggression, they will face tougher retaliation from Iran's armed forces," he said.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the attack demonstrates the importance of strengthening national defense capabilities. "Iran always strives for peace and stability in the region and the world, but incidents like this prove that without a strong defense, we can be the target of violence from criminal and murder regimes," he said.
Furthermore, he accused the existence of coordination between Israel and the United States in attacking Iran in the middle of the negotiation process, as evidence of indifference and non-compliance with diplomatic norms.
On the same occasion, Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, expressed full support from the Pakistani government and people to Iran. He condemned Israel's attacks as a violation of international law and expressed his condolences for the casualties of Iranian citizens, officials and scientists.
Sharif also expressed Pakistan's desire to continue working with Iran, including in facilitating the repatriation of pilgrims, as well as entrusting warm greetings to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
