Pay Burman Sees Music Copyright Chaos As A Process To Get Better

JAKARTA - Pay Burman also gave a response regarding the chaos about copyright among musicians. The 55-year-old guitarist sees the differences that exist because each musician has his own perspective subjectively.

As is known, the lawsuit of songwriters to singers is a warm issue in the Indonesian music industry today. Some musicians support it, but some have a problem with it.

"For me, it's subjective, it depends on how much he feels," said Pay Burman to the media crew in Cilandak.

"But actually the system already exists, only someone is satisfied and someone is not satisfied or the system is not going well," he continued.

Pay itself does not want to position itself to one of the camps. For him, various existing disputes must be resolved by a running mechanism.

"Yes, let it run, there is already a mechanism," he said.

The BIP guitarist chose to see the positives of the dispute between musicians, which might make Indonesia's music ecosystem even better.

"I think this is positive, positive in the future, so that I can get a better solution in the future. I consider this a process," he concluded.
