Toyota Collaborates With Leading Technology Manufacturers, Ready To Present Sophisticated Electric Vehicles

JAKARTA - The joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC) or GAC Toyota, outlines a comprehensive strategy to accelerate electric vehicles, development, software and smart mobility.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Friday, June 13, this was revealed at the 2025 Technological Event. It was revealed that Toyota will cooperate with Huawei, Xiaomi to Momenta. The company also introduces two new energy vehicle platforms (NEV), next-generation electronic architecture, and three hybrid systems at once.

The second multi-energy platform will support the configurations of BEV, PHEV, and REEV for cars with a length of up to 5,300 mm. The platform's first model of mid to large premium bZ7 sedans will be equipped with LiDAR and scheduled to launch in March 2026.

In addition, the company's hybrid development quickly implemented the fifth generation Hybrid Dual Engine Intelligent system while developing a sixth generation successor. The new high-performance PHEV system, which will debut in 2027 at China's Sienna and Highlander.

Regarding cooperation with Xiaomi, later this tech giant will provide support for smart devices, including loudspeakers, screens. This collaboration aims to align vehicle connectivity with the AIoT ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Huawei's first Toyota car will be equipped with Huawei's Harmony OS 5.0, which is integrated with Kirin chips and 15.6-inch infotainment screens. This provides better compatibility with the digital ecosystem.

For momenta, later it will provide advanced driver assistance that offers almost 50 new features and will be embedded in bZ3X.
