Prabowo Will Not Reshuffle The Cabinet, PKB Legislators Ask The Minister To Focus On Real Work

JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives Mohammad Toha responded to President Prabowo Subianto's statement that he would not conduct a cabinet reshuffle in the near future.

He considered the statement as a form of trust in ministers, but reminded that trust should not be misinterpreted.

Toha appealed to ministers to work harder, maintain performance consistency, and not cause controversy in public spaces.

"The president certainly has his own considerations. But with no reshuffle in the near future, the ministers must interpret it as a form of trust and opportunities to work even harder," said Toha in Jakarta, Friday, June 13.

The PKB politician from the constituency of Central Java V also reminded the importance of healthy public communication.

He considered that the statements of officials who were multiple interpretations or controversial would only interfere with the focus of government work and create unnecessary noise.

"Don't be busy with controversial comments or make things worse. People need real work, not discourse that breaks focus or creates uncertainty," said Toha.

As a member of Commission II of the DPR in charge of government and bureaucratic reform, Toha also emphasized the importance of internal consolidation within the cabinet, especially ahead of the transition period of government to the next period.

"We all want to see this government complete its duties well until the end of its term of office. For that, measurable work is needed, effective communication, and exemplary from state officials," he concluded.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto said that he had not planned to reshuffle the cabinet. According to him, the ministers have so far shown quite good performance, although there are still a number of shortcomings, especially in terms of public communication. The President emphasized that the Red and White Cabinet will remain solid and continue to work hard for the benefit of the people.
