Rosan Ensures Danantara Presents New Jobs

JAKARTA - Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani ensured that his party is seeking strategic investment to provide new jobs, responding to the challenge of a demographic bonus with two million births of babies every year in Indonesia.

"Because this is a challenge for Indonesia, how can we create more jobs. And creating jobs is a top priority in Indonesia," said Rosan on the agenda of the 2025 International Conference on Infrastructure (ICI) on the YouTube account of the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 13.

Rosan hopes that Danantara will become a magnet for global investors to invest in Indonesia, especially in infrastructure projects and downstream industries which can then create high quality jobs for the younger generation.

He highlighted the demographic challenges, where two million babies are born every year, demanding the creation of job opportunities on an ongoing basis as a top priority for inclusive and productive long-term development.

Rosan explained his dual role as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM as well as CEO of Danantara, a new agency that manages assets of more than 900 billion US dollars across various national strategic sectors.

He said that all SOEs, which are now under the control of the Danantara, will be optimized to create added value through consolidation, privatization, and close collaboration with domestic and foreign private business actors.

Rosan emphasized that it is impossible to build all major projects alone, so private involvement is an important key to working on various national economic potentials.

He said that currently Danantara oversees 50 SOEs and 889 subsidiaries, all of which are directed to generate maximum economic value through efficiency, innovation, and cross-border strategic partnerships.

He also appreciated Finance Minister Sri Mulyani because now Danantara can manage its own dividends, thereby strengthening fiscal flexibility in financing the national priority investment program which has a direct impact on employment.

"Thank you so that we can open investment in Indonesia in various sectors. And we hope that there will be more high-quality jobs in Indonesia," added Rosan.

Through Danantara, Rosan opens opportunities for investment with international partners in various sectors, with the belief that this collaboration will bring mutual profit and accelerate national economic growth.
