Punya Model Lain, Ini Alasan GAC AION Pilih Model V Untuk Dirakit Perdana Di Purwakarta

JAKARTA - The first GAC factory in Purwakarta, West Java officially operates and the first car that is an option to be assembled locally is AION V. In fact, a total of four cars have arrived such as Y Plus, ES and Hyptec HT.

So why is the AION V model being a product chosen to be assembled locally? Responding to this, the Director of PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (IMAS), Andrew Nasuri spoke up.

According to him, the decision was because AION V was not briefly registered in the import duty exemption incentive program and PPnBM for complete imports (completely built-up/CBU).

"If AION V is from the principal, the preparation also takes time. So, at that time it was not rushed to join the government program, which was zero percent (CBU import). They were quite different, "he said, when met in Purwakarta, some time ago.

He further explained that GAC itself has a thorough and more careful approach to bringing products to new markets, due to their experience working closely with the Japanese automotive industry in quality standards.

"This GAC has a cooperation experience with Japanese automotives, where the quality standards are very high. So they see, for the Indonesian market, what can a good car need, so there are adjustments, quality control, and the process takes time," he added.

For this reason, the results of the decision (AION V) are the opening model for local production in Indonesia, as well as strengthening Indomobil's commitment to supporting the domestically produced electric vehicle industry.

As is known, GAC Aion itself collaborated with Indomobil Group through a joint venture scheme by forming Aion Indonesia, where Indomobil holds 51 percent of shares and GAC AION 49 percent.

Specifications for AION V, this car is equipped with advanced features such as AEP (AION Electrical Platform), X-Soul Architecture, and Magazine Battery. AION V has a fairly far range, can cover a distance of more than 600 km on a single charge.

Regarding the price, AION V is priced starting from Rp449 million for the Exclusive and Luxury variants of Rp489 million OTR Jakarta.
