Meta AI Launches Short Video Editing Capability

JAKARTA Meta AI now offers the option to edit videos with generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) support. This capability is launched into the Meta AI application of the Meta AI website, and the Edits app.

By using this feature, users can change their short video. They can change the details from video to background, according to the desired style or theme.

"Now you can easily edit short videos using various pre-determined AI commands that can change clothes, locations, styles, and more," Meta said, quoted on Thursday, June 12.

To use this feature, users only need to upload videos that want to be edited to the Meta AI application, Meta AI website, or Edits app. After that, there are more than 50 editing instructions that can be selected and used.

Users can only edit videos with a duration of less than 10 seconds for now. Editing style options can also be used for free, but for a limited amount of time. Unfortunately, this feature is only available in a dozen countries, including the US.

After editing is complete, users can share their videos with Facebook or Instagram. Especially on the Meta AI application or website, users can share the videos they edit to the Discover feed.

"We made this feature so that everyone can experiment creatively and make fun and interesting videos to share with their friends, family and followers," explains Meta.

This video editing ability is based on an AI command provided directly by Meta. This means that users cannot create a different prompt from what Meta provides.

However, Meta plans to add text command support by the end of this year. Hopefully, users can freely edit their videos and suit what they expect.
