President Prabowo To Deliver Speech At St. International Economic Forum. Russia Petersburg
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will deliver a speech at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), during a state visit to St. Petersburg, Russia.
Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rolliansyah Soemirat, said President Prabowo made a working visit to Russia on June 18-20.
"This is in order to fulfill President Vladimir Putin's invitation to a bilateral meeting, as well as to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum," he explained in a press statement in Jakarta, Thursday, June 12.
"President Prabowo will address the opening and plenary sessions of the forum along with the President of Russia," he added.
Furthermore, the diplomat, who is familiarly called Roy, explained that during the visit, which was carried out in the midst of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia, bilateral developments, as well as regional and global issues of mutual concern, would be discussed in the bilateral meeting of the two leaders.
"It is hoped that there will be several deliverables from this visit which are still in finalization," said Roy.
"There can be changes and adjustments. There are several MoUs that are currently being worked on, hopefully, it can be agreed, transportation issues, ship construction, inter-academic and educational agreements, creative economy cooperation and computer technology," he explained.

He added that during this visit, the Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono who accompanied President Prabowo was planned to hold a bilateral meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
