BCA Supports Ethical AI Adoption For Business World Through BCA Data Conference 2025

JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) for the first time held the 2025 BCA Data Conference with the theme Ignite the Future with AI.

This conference is a form of the company's commitment to increasing the readiness of cross-industrial sectors in responding to advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

"We see how Artificial Intelligence has had a real impact and opens up various opportunities in various industries, as well as brings challenges that we need to carefully and wisely investigate," said BCA President Director Hendra Lembong in a statement quoted Thursday, June 12.

This conference is also in line with BCA's commitment to proactively encourage the use of AI technology in line with the principles of ethics and compliance with applicable regulations.

BCA has implemented AI technology in various operational aspects, such as ATM and CRM recharging management, predicted EDC and thermal paper stock needs, as well as potential fraud detection through the Fraud Detection system.

Other innovations include the Digital Value for Collateral Appracial (DIVA), which utilizes machine learning to assess the value of collateral in real-time, as well as the Virtual Assistant Chat Banking BCA (VIRA) which uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand customers' daily languages.

Meanwhile, in terms of security, AI is used on biometric features in the myBCA application and the digital account opening verification process.

"BCA Data Conference 2025 is expected not only to introduce the potential and application of AI in the business world, but also specifically raise important issues related to AI Governance, namely ethics, regulations, and policies that are the foundation for the use of responsible AI," added BCA Vice President Director Armand Wahyudi Hartono.
