Marwah Khoirunnisa, A 7-year-old Boy Victim Of Violence Found Abandoned In Jakarta

JAKARTA - A child named Marwah Khoirunnisa was found abandoned in front of the Ramayana Kebayoran Lama stall, Kebayoran Lama Utara Village, South Jakarta. When found, the condition of the 7-year-old girl was very concerning.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Agency (PPAPP), Iin Mutmainnah explained, initially the child was found by residents on Wednesday, June 11 at 05.00 WIB.

Three hours before being found abandoned, security on patrol saw the child sleeping with a father in the same location.

"At 05.00 WIB, people around the market who were selling were excited because the child who had fallen asleep with his father lived alone in a weak condition and it was suspected that his father had left him," Iin told reporters, Thursday, June 12.

Then, the boy was evacuated by the Satpol PP Kebayoran Lama District and taken to the Cipulir Village Health Center for the first treatment. Because the condition is very weak and many wounds.

"When he arrived, the child was in a state of hunger and fever. The child was also seen to have burns and bruises. After the initial treatment, the fever had dropped and the child was able to sleep and rest," explained Iin.

When communicating with officers, the child mentioned his parents named Yusuf Arjuna Siti. He admitted that his father was often abused by being beaten and burned in the fields.

Communications carried out with children can only be done using Javanese Kromo and east Javanese accents, thus making it difficult for the companion to explore information.

"Based on the child's statement, on Monday he came by train from Pasar Turi (Surabaya) to Jakarta and then took a motorcycle taxi. More information from the child cannot be explored because the child's condition requires intensive medical treatment and needs rest," explained Iin.
