NTT Prosecutor's Office Finds Indications Of 2.100 Damage To Team-Tim Fighter's House
Head of the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Zet Tadung Allo said his party found indications of damage from 2,100 housing units for residents of former East Timor Fighters (Tim-Tim) built in Fatuleu District in Kupang Regency.
"From the results of the prosecutor's monitoring, various irregularities and technical discrepancies were found, ranging from cracked walls of houses, broken ceilings, lacking asphalt, to damaged drainage," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 11.
This was conveyed when he held a Coordination Meeting on the use of the construction of 2,100 housing units for former East Timorese fighters in Kupang Regency.
In front of the Chairman of the Central Leadership Council of the East Timor Fighter Communication Forum, Eurico Gutterias, he emphasized that the findings were not only a matter of building quality, but were related to the safety of residents.
"We even found indications of subcontractor work that did not meet the standards," he said.
He also emphasized that the safety and welfare of the people is a top priority and must be the basis for all government actions and legal/law enforcement regulations.
According to him, supervision of large-scale projects must be stricter. He emphasized that budget waste could be the beginning of a criminal act of corruption if it was accompanied by a decrease in the quality of work.
Zet Tadung also emphasized that every construction, including a special house construction project for residents of former East Timor Fighters in Kupang Regency, was carried out according to the technical specifications and quality standards set.
From the results of monitoring and investigations, various discrepancies were found in the construction of 2,100 housing units carried out by several construction SOEs.
"Starting from cracked houses, broken walls, broken ceilings, to lack of asphalt and damage to drainage, it has become our serious concern," he said.
