Charged With Layered Articles, TNI Member Who Shoots Way Kanan Lampung Police Undergoes Initial Session

PALEMBANG - Oditur charged a member of the TNI who was the perpetrator of the shooting of three police officers while raiding the location of the cockfighting gambling in Way Kanan, Lampung, with three layers of articles.

The defendant Kopda Bazarsah was present to hear the reading of the indictment at the trial at the Palembang Military Court I-04, Wednesday.

Oditur Zarkasih from Otmil I-05 Palembang in the trial of reading the indictment before the panel of judges chaired by Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto charged the defendant Kopda Bazarsah with the primary article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder, subsidiary to Article 338 concerning ordinary murder.

Then, Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning Illegal Ownership of Firearms and Sharp Weapons, as well as Article 303 of the Criminal Code concerning Gambling Crimes.

In the indictment, the oditur also demanded the Bazarsah case that killed AKP Anumerta Lusiyanto, Aipda Anumerta Petrus Apriyanto, and Briptu Anumerta M Ghalib Surya Ganta while securing the location of the cockfighting in Karang Manik Village, Batin State District, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung, to be questioned at the Palembang Military Court I-04.

The case in this indictment was examined and tried at the Palembang Military Court I-04 with a request, the defendant was still detained, and witnesses were summoned in the case as many as 31 people

After the oditur finished reading the indictment, the presiding judge invited Kopda Bazarsah to negotiate with his legal assistants, whether to file an exception to the indictment.

After the discussion, Kopda Bazarsah's Legal Assistant did not object to the indictment that was read out, and did not file an exception.

The panel of judges finally closed the trial and will hold a trial to examine witnesses in the case on Monday (16/6).

After the trial, the Military Court I-04 Palembang resumed the trial of reading the charges against other defendants in the case, Peltu Yun Heri Lubis.
