Trump: The US-China Trade Agreement Has Been Achieved

JAKARTA - The trade agreement between the United States (US) and China is "completed" is negotiated and is just waiting for the final approval of the presidents of the two countries.

In an upload on the Truth Social platform, President Donald Trump said the US would impose a tariff of 55 percent, while China was subject to a tariff of 10 percent.

"China will supply the full magnet and rare earth metal needed, upfront," said Trump as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Wednesday, June 11.

He said the US would fulfill an agreement that was part of it, including allowing students from China to continue to study at universities in America.

"The relationship (US and China) is very good!" Trump said.

Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will work closely together to open up the Chinese market for US products.

"Ini akan menjadi KEMENANGAN besar bagi kedua negara!" kata Trump.

A meeting between top US and Chinese officials was held this week in London to discuss trade rates.

In April, the US began to apply a large tariff to China. However, in May, the two countries agreed to lift most of the tariffs for 90 days.
