SketchUp 2025, Offers New Features And Wider Design Exploration AI
JAKARTA - Artificial intelligence (AI) now plays an important role in changing the way professionals work in the design world, including 3D architecture and modeling that is able to accelerate the design process, improve accuracy, and facilitate visualization.
Benny Dewanto, Managing Director of PT Piranti Nusantara Teknologi (Piranusa), a company providing various software including SketchUp, explained that AI is a strategic aid in facing increasingly dynamic industrial challenges.
The development of design technology is progressing according to the needs of professionals. SketchUp, as one of the 3D design software that is widely used in various sectors, now presents AI-based features such as Autoshape and Generate Anything," he said in a seminar entitled SketchUp 2025: New Feature & AI in SketchUp in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 11.
Piranusa together with ACA Pacific Indonesia, and SketchUp held a seminar titled SketchUp 2025: New Feature & AI in SketchUp on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Artotel Thamrin Jakarta. The seminar presents Special Guest Speaker from Riri's Principal Architect Atelitek, Ar Novriansyah Yakub, the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) which will discuss the Exploration of Contemporary Architecture with Atelier Riri'.
Other speakers are Derrick Chong as ASEAN Lead SketchUp and Kiki Richardus Susilobroto, Technical Manager of AEC, ACA Pacific Indonesia as the speaker discussing SketchUp.
The seminar aims to provide a direct understanding to architects, designers, and creative professionals about the latest features of SketchUp 2025, as well as how AI can be practically integrated into everyday design workflows. With the AI feature, SketchUp is a powerful tool to be able to save time and increase creativity for designers. The presence of AI allows users to create models only from text inputs or simple sketches. So that it saves time while at the same time encouraging wider design exploration.
Benny added that the holding of this seminar shows that Piranusa's commitment as the authorized partner of SketchUp in Indonesia always provides solutions for professionals in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, interior design, and other related industries.
Kiki Richardus Susilobroto, AEC Technical Manager, ACA Pacific Indonesia, said the 2025 SketchUp was not just a matter of faster modeling.
"Also how AI helps designers think more strategy, from initial ideas to final visualization. In this seminar, we want to show how new features such as Autoshape and Generate Anything can be directly applied to speed up the design process without reducing quality," said Kiki.
Derrick Chong, ASEAN Lead, SketchUp added SketchUp also encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration through the Connected Construction approach.
