North Gaza Faces Health Crisis As All Hospitals Stop Operating

JAKARTA - Medical sources in the Gaza Strip described the health situation in northern Gaza as a disaster, following the complete closure of all hospitals in the area.

Some of the hospitals that are still operating across the Line are on the verge of collapse, overwhelmed by a severe shortage that makes it nearly impossible for health services to continue to be provided, the source said.

They reported that hundreds of patients and injured victims suffered from the inability to resolve critical medical interventions, as the remaining health care system was severely drained.

A very severe density has been reported at the remaining medical facilities, as Israeli forces continue to prevent the entry of life-saving medical supplies.

Emergency solutions and first aid interventions, the source added, "have lost meaning" as health and humanitarian indicators continue to deteriorate to "irreversible levels."

The Gaza Strip has faced a full-scale humanitarian catastrophe since March 2, when Israel closed all border crossings, banning the entry of food, medicines, aid and fuel, amid ongoing military operations that international rights groups and international law experts have described as genocide.

Gaza's Ministry of Health on Wednesday confirmed that the death toll from Palestine since the latest conflict with Israel broke out on October 7, 2023, had reached 55,104 people, while the injured reached 127,394 people, quoted from the Daily Sabah.
