PTDI Signs Procurement Contract Of 6 AW189 Helicopter Units To The Ministry Of Defense
JAKARTA PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has signed a contract for the sale of 6 units of AW189 Heavy Transport Helicopters with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense's Defense Defense Agency (Kemhan).
The President Director of PTDI, Gita Amperiawan, symbolically signed the sales contract document witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto and the Indonesian Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin on the agenda of signing the Joint Contract of the Ministry of Defense with BUMN & BUMS, located at Pre-Function Hall D2, JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Gita said PTDI is committed as a strategic partner of the Government in meeting the needs of national defense equipment, especially in the aerospace sector. PTDI is ready to answer every need of the national air fleet.
"With a proven engineering and manufacturing experience, as well as a solid global partnership network, we are here to support Indonesia's defense independence with a fighting spirit and high dedication," Gita said in an official statement, Wednesday, June 11.
According to Gita, this strategic step is part of a collective effort to strengthen the national air defense posture through the procurement of reliable, modern, adaptive defense equipment to various missions.
"Helikopter AW189 will be present as a multi-mission heavy-lift solution that is ready to strengthen the range and air mobility of the TNI," he said.
Gita said this contract opens up great opportunities for PTDI in expanding its capabilities in the helicopter sector, including increasing technical capacity, maintenance, and developing supporting industries.
With the increase in the type of helicopter managed by PTDI, the Company's capacity list (caplist) will also develop, strengthening the position of PTDI as the leading center of the aerospace industry in
