Police Dismantle The Practice Of Counterfeiting Pesticides In Subang, Perpetrators Have Been Operating For 2 Months
The Subang Police have uncovered cases of counterfeiting various brands of pesticides that have taken place in recent months in Jatimulya Village, Compreng District, Subang Regency, West Java.
"In disclosing this case, the perpetrator with the initials BNG (46), a resident of Binong District, admitted that he had carried out the action for two months," said Subang Police Deputy Chief, Kompol Endar Supriyatna during an exposure to the disclosure of the case at the Subang Police Headquarters, Wednesday, June 11, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said that in carrying out his actions, the perpetrator mixed the Regent brand's original pesticide with another chemical liquid, as well as mixed with water as much as 20 liters and food dyes.
The mixture of liquid is then repackaged into bottles used for pesticides of various brands, re-sealed using glue and solder, and a fake label attached.
The activity, which has been going on for about two months, was carried out in a house in Jatireja Village, Compreng District, Subang Regency.

Receiving the report, the police then conducted an investigation for several days until finally carrying out a raid on the location on Monday (9/6).
During the raid, the police immediately arrested one person with the initials BNG (46), and confiscated a number of evidences, including suspected fake pesticides that were ready for distribution.
Mentioned, among the evidence confiscated in the raid were 198 bottles of counterfeit pesticides ready for distribution, 95 bottles in the production process as well as hundreds of empty bottles, bottle caps, fake labels, and production tools.
To account for his actions, the perpetrator is now being held at the Subang Police Headquarters.
The perpetrators are threatened with Article 123 in conjunction with Article 77 paragraph (1) of Law Number 22 of 2019 concerning the Sustainable Agricultural Cultivation System, and/or Article 62 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 8 paragraph (1) letter e of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.
"The threat is a maximum imprisonment of seven years and/or a fine of up to Rp. 5 billion," said the Deputy Chief of Police.
