Yamaha Tracer 9 Now Has An LED Matrix Light, What's The Capability?
JAKARTA - Yamaha updated the Tracer 9 model with one of its newest technologies, namely the LED Matrix light which is the first time in the world has been applied to two-wheeled vehicles.
This technology has existed previously in four-wheeled vehicles and has been successfully applied to motorcycles. However, this is not done easily.
A Yamaha spokesman said that his party had paid attention to this system between 2019 and 2020.
"We started observing this system around 2019 or 2020. After that, we started mass production development, but it wasn't easy," the spokesperson said.
In fact, the manufacturer admits that the development is not yet perfect, so the lights cannot operate as in current four-wheeled vehicles.
"To detect people, bicycles and cars, everything is difficult to make it smooth and effective because it can be misdetected, and it's hard to make perfect software. We're just trying to make it as perfect as possible and that's what we've done," the spokesperson added.

In the Tracer 9 model, there is a front camera to detect any movement up front, which distributes data through the ECU and determines how much lighting will be given and can also be adjusted and can be replaced by motorists.
The LED Matrix lights have been in four-wheeled vehicles for more than the last decade.
This system is basically a term used for a set of individual LEDs in the headlights that can work independently, offering better and more precise light use, depending on a number of variables.
The main advantage is that it aims to prevent the glare of other road users, with the ability to darken the lights automatically faster than it can do independently.
The light can also direct light to the destination and can increase it to lower lighting when in a brighter or darker environment by considering the environment around the vehicle.
