Park Bo Young, Kim Sung Cheol, And Lee Kwang Soo Join The Gold Land Series

JAKARTA - Disney+ Korea announced the latest Gold Land series by Hwang Jo Yoon, known as the phenomenal writer for the film Oldboy. The cast was announced at the same time and filled with a number of top names from Korea.

Directed by Kim Sung Hoon, the series will be played by Park Bo Young, Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Hee Won, Moon Jung Hee, and Lee Kwang Soo.

Gold Land tells of Kim Hee Joo, a girl from a town who accidentally finds gold belonging to a smuggling organization. He suddenly finds himself being hunted by a number of dangerous men in Korea and flees somewhere.

Park Bo Young plays Kim Hee Joo, a security member at the airport who centers the characters. Kim Sung Cheol plays Jang Wook, a member of a criminal organization looking for Hee Joo.

I can't wait to try a new genre. The Hee Joo process, which doesn't seem to be interested in gold, has changed as he is obsessed with humans and the desire to be photographed in an interesting way, said Park Bo Young.

"Jang Wook is a challenging character and I see that to challenge myself. I am also enthusiastic about the chemistry that I will build with Hee Joo," said Kim Sung Cheol.

Apart from the two, there is Lee Hyun Wook who plays Lee Do Kyung, Hee Joo's lover who is dragged into the Hee Joo conflict.

Kim Hee Won plays Kim Jin Man, a detective at the Jeongsan department police who is trying to solve the case.

Moon Jung Hee becomes the mother of Hee Joo, Yeo Sun Ok. Sun Ok's relationship with Hee Joo is not smooth and has a lot of chaos.

Finally, there is Lee Kwang Soo who plays Director Park, someone who looks after Geumseong, a criminal organization from the branch of a casino operation.

The Gold Land series is planned to air in 2026.
