KKP Records 77,256 Fisheries Business Actors Get Credit Of IDR 1.85 Trillion To The First Quarter Of 2025

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) noted that the realization of credit for marine and fishery sector programs in the first quarter of 2025 reached IDR 1.85 trillion for 77,256 debtors.

The credit is dominated by cultivation, arrest and trading of fishery products.

"The credit is dominated by cultivation, arrest and trading of fishery products," said KKP Director General of Strengthening Competitiveness for Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP) Tornanda Syaifullah in a written statement, Tuesday, June 10.

Tornanda detailed the credit recipient, namely people's business credit (KUR) amounting to Rp1.59 trillion for 32,337 debtors and ultra micro credit (UMi) amounting to Rp256.61 billion for 44,919 debtors.

The largest distribution is found in cultivation businesses of 32.86 percent, arrests of 30.35 percent and trading of fishery products of 22.67 percent.

Then, followed by fishery services 6.89 percent, fishery processing 2.48 percent and agriculture 0.37 percent.

According to Tornanda, compared to the same period last year, the number of debtors in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 13.46 percent, although the credit value experienced a slowdown of 7.85 percent.

"The slowdown in the realization of the KUR value can be a momentum to strengthen financial literacy and build a more inclusive and sustainable financing ecosystem," he said.

Furthermore, Tornanda explained, the largest contribution came from BRI (Rp1.17 trillion for 28,397 debtors), followed by Mandiri (Rp183.59 billion), BSI (Rp427 billion) and BNI (Rp46.89 billion).

In the ultramicro sector, PT PNM became the dominant distributor with Rp248 billion for 45,196 debtors, PT Pegadaian (Rp3.42 billion) and the Government Investment Center (PIP) Rp319 million.

He considered that KUR was the main lever in supporting the KKP strategic program, such as the Kampung Nelayan/Budi Daya Merah Putih program.

"With the right and integrated financing scheme, the transformation of the blue economy can be realized more quickly in a comprehensive and sustainable manner," he said.
