Trefoil: The New Creative Room Of Gading Serpong That Combines Coffee, Matcha, And Art

TANGERANG Trefoil Coffee, Matcha & Art Space is officially present in the Gading Serpong area as a creative space that unites the exploration of taste and art in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Carrying a multi-dimensional concept, Trefoil combines special coffee dishes, matcha ceremonial grades, chocolate artists, and art spaces that encourage community collaboration.

Occupying a two-story building, Trefoil's first floor functions as a coffee shop with minimalist interior and comfortable atmosphere. Meanwhile, the second floor is designed as a communal space and art gallery open for discussion, creative work, and community activities.

"Trefoil is not only about enjoying quality drinks, but also about building space that encourages mutual interaction and growth," said Trefoil Coffee owner Matha & Art Space William Sutanto, in his statement, Tuesday, June 10.

In terms of coffee dishes, Trefoil puts forward a comprehensive curation approach. Theturbation menu is presented with a typical Trefoil house blend as well as a single Origin chosen seasonally. Single seeds of the origin come from a certain area or garden, presenting a distinctive and authentic taste character.

"We believe that every coffee cup carries a story. By choosing seeds seasonally and presenting coffee filters from exclusive varieties such as the Geisha and the Cup of Excellence, we want customers to feel the wealth of coffee characters in its entirety," William said.

Geisha and COE presented at Trefoil are only available in limited quantities following the season and rigorous selection process. The COE or Cup of Excellence is the highest award in the world of specialty coffee, given only for coffee beans with the highest cupping score.

Apart from coffee, Trefoil is also one of the rare places in Indonesia that exclusively provides matcha ceremonial grades. Matcha is used from Japanese leading kultivars such as Hikari, Gokou, Samidori,

"Matcha is not just a drink. It is a form of dedication and perseverance in Japanese culture. We want to introduce this philosophy through every dish of our choice," said William.

The choice of matcha on Trefoil includes usucha, matchamen, as well as innovative creations such as matcha affogata and matcha beer. All use matcha ceremonial grade. To complement the experience of enjoying green tea, there is also a Japanese variety of wagashi from Kikkaya Wagashi which is presented seasonally. This traditional cake offers a soft balance of sweet tastes with artistic appearance.

Trefoil also collaborated with Sobas Bali in presenting nine variants of chocolate bonbon, ranging from Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, and Matcha Pistachio, to more experimental flavors such as Yuzu Black Sesame and Espressour. In addition, there are also chocolate-based drinks such as dark chocolate, single Origin chocolate, and mocha.
