Billy Joel Reveals The Dark Story Of Trying To Commit Suicide After Cheating With The Wife Of A Bandmate

JAKARTA - A surprising story was revealed by Billy Joel through his latest documentary entitled 'Billy Joel: And So It Goes', which premiered in the US last week and will air on HBO this summer.

Launching People, the documentary shows Billy Joel telling the story of the incident in the early 1970s, when he was in the band Attila with his best friend at the time, Jon Small.

At that time, Joel had a romantic relationship with Jon Small's wife, Elizabeth Weber.

"I feel very, very guilty because of it," Joel said in the documentary.

They have children. I feel like a household destroyer. I only love a woman, and I get hit in the nose, which I deserve. Jon is very angry. I am very angry," he continued.

Joel also separated from his friends in Attila. He also found himself lost his place of residence.

"I slept in my place of sleep and I was depressed, I felt like I was almost wearing it. So I thought, 'That's all. I don't want to live anymore.' he said. I just feel a lot of pain, and it's like, 'Why hold on? Tomorrow it will be the same as today and today it's annoying. So, I think I'm going to end it all.

At the moment that made him depressed, Joel took pills from his sister, tip,to help him sleep. And one day, he tries to end his life by taking all the pills at once.

"He was in a coma for days,"village said in the documentary. "I went to visit him at the hospital, and he was lying pale. I thought I had killed him."

Not only once, Joel again tried to end his life by spending the entire bottle of cleaning products. At that time, it was Jon Small who took him to the hospital.

"Even though our friendship was broken, Jon saved my life," said Joel.

"He never really said anything to me, the only practical answer I could give about why Billy was so suffering was because he loved me so much and that hurting me like that was so painful for him. Finally I regretted him," Small said.

After two suicide attempts, Joel entered the observation ward for several weeks.

"I came out of the observation ward, and I thought you could take advantage of all those emotions to channel them into music," concluded Billy Joel.
