AKBP Fajar Immediately Tried For Child Abuse And Drugs Cases

KUPANG Former Ngada Police Chief, AKBP Fajar Widyaharma Lukman Sumaatmaja, who is a suspect in a sexual violence case against minors, was officially transferred by the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police to the Kupang City District Attorney (Kejari), Tuesday morning, June 10.

ANTARA's observation at the location showed that Fajar arrived at the Kupang City Kejari with a tight guard by the investigation team of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the NTT Police using a white minibus. Arriving at the location, he was immediately escorted to the general criminal room of the Kejari.

Fajar was seen wearing brown trousers, a collared white shirt, black mask, and his hands were handcuffed. When his name was called by a number of media crews, he was reluctant to give a response.

Shortly after, the Head of the Kupang City Prosecutor's Office, Hotma Tambunan, was seen entering the examination room to ensure the delegation process took place. However, he also chose not to comment on journalists.

Deputy Head of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office, Ikhwan Nul Hakim, who was also present, said that currently the public prosecutor (JPU) is conducting an examination of case files and suspects.

"Later we will inform you further. Currently, the prosecutor is still in the file examination stage," said Ikhwan.

Before the delegation was carried out, the suspect had undergone a medical examination at Bhayangkara Hospital.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the NTT Police, Kombes Pol Patar Silalahi, previously said that the delegation was carried out after Fajar was picked up from the detention of the National Police Headquarters, where he was detained for more than a month.

Fajar was previously dishonorably dismissed from the police after being proven to have sexually assaulted a minor who was still in elementary school.

In addition to committing immoral acts, he also recorded his lecherous actions and uploaded the video to porn sites in order to gain financial benefits.

The video uploaded by Fajar was later found by the Australian police and reported to the National Police Headquarters, which then followed up on the case seriously.
