Appreciation Of Legendary Artists, Kemenbud Will Make Bing Slamet House A Cultural Museum

Comedian, actor, and singer (late) Bing Slamet is a legendary artist who has given birth to many works. For this reason, through the Ministry of Culture (Kemenbud), the Minister of Culture Fadli Zon conducted a review of the residence of the comedian family with the intention of following up on the plan to make the Bing Slamet Museum.

This is a form of respect and hopes for support and collaboration from various sectors.

"The government and the Bing Slamet extended family have long planned to make the house of the deceased a museum. This idea was born from a desire to remember and appreciate the services of Bing Slamet, a legendary Indonesian artist who is known as a singer, comedian, and versatile actor," explained the Minister of Education and Culture.

On this occasion, the arrival of Menbud Fadli Zon was received by representatives of the Bing Slamet family, namely Lucky and Iyut Bing Slamet. There, the Minister of Education and Culture toured and explored the building which according to him still displays the original impression for anyone who visits there.

The Minister of Culture said that some areas of the house will undergo light renovations, especially in supporting infrastructure, in collaboration with several parties. According to him, this process will be carried out while maintaining the authenticity of the building, especially private rooms

Bing Slamet, which will be maintained as the original for historical value. In addition to buildings, the Minister of Education and Culture also inspected the objects and various private collections of the deceased, such as guitars, certificates of appreciation, and other memorabilia which according to him are valuable treasures.

"We hope that, through cross-sectoral collaboration, this house can be activated into a living art activity space, which not only remembers the figure of Bing Slamet as a great artist, but also becomes an inspiration for the younger generation," said Minister Fadli.

Puteri Bing Slamet, Iyut Bing Slamet, on that occasion said that her father was a great figure worthy of being known not only by the younger generation in the country, but also by the international community.

"In the future, various personal collections of the deceased, such as guitars, certificates of appreciation, and other memorabilia will be exhibited in special frames and displays. All of this will be equipped with informative narratives so that the public knows Bing Slamet's great contribution to the world of Indonesian arts and culture," explained Iyut.

The Minister of Culture expressed his hope that this historic house could be developed into the Bing Slamet Museum, as a form of respect for his services in the world of Indonesian arts and culture.

"Hopefully we can activate it as a place for artsy activities related to the late Bing Slamet, and remember his services as a singer, actor, comedian and many more. We know him as a talented person," concluded the Minister of Education and Culture.
