AMPI Believes Minister Bahlil Will Complete The Nickel Mining Polemic In Raja Ampat
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Renewal Youth Force (AMPI) Jerry Sambuaga supports the commitment and strategic steps taken by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia in an effort to resolve the nickel mining polemic in Raja Ampat, Southwest Papua.
AMPI believes that Minister Bahlil will continue to be committed to protecting the interests of the nation and state, including in managing natural resources fairly and sustainably, especially in the Land of Papua.
"Regarding the mine in Raja Ampat, we young people in AMPI appreciate the speed of Minister Bahlil in dealing with this problem," said Jerry Sambuaga at the AMPI Media Center, Jakarta, Monday, June 9.
From the existing data, the Deputy Minister of Trade for the 2019-2024 period said that the mining permit in question in Raja Ampat was not issued by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources during the Bahlil Lahadalia era.
"Therefore, all forms of accusations addressed to him are baseless and need to be straightened out for the objectivity of public information," he said.
However, Jerry said that the current problem on social media is the large number of protests regarding the Mining Business License (IUP) in the Raja Ampat area, Southwest Papua. Along with protests related to the IUP, said Jerry, it turned out that there had been dissemination of confusing information, either unintentionally or intentionally.
Therefore, Jerry hopes that the public will not be easily provoked, especially by certain individuals who have the potential to infiltrate this situation with political interests.
"We culture to find out the facts and read the full details, before concluding too early," he appealed.
According to Jerry, the community, especially the younger generation, must be more critical so as not to quickly get caught up in misinformation or misinformation. So as not to understand the problem of an incident as a whole.
"It's not just about this Raja Ampat, but in everyday life and overall," Jerry continued.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the AMPI DPP, Arief Rosyid Hasan, appreciated the steps taken by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia in an effort to overcome the polemic of the Raja Ampat mine. According to Arief, the presence of Bahlil in Raja Ampat directly is a form of commitment and concern of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources towards the local community.
"That this issue is seriously taken care of and God willing, it will be resolved immediately. Minister Bahlil's presence is also proof of the government's presence in addressing issues concretely, not just from behind the table," said Arief.
Arief also emphasized that Minister Bahlil was the native son of the East, who grew up in Fak-Fak, West Papua. "Therefore, he knows very well the value of the sacredness of the Land of Papua which must be used as well as possible for the benefit of the local community, also bigger, for the nation and state," he said.
This, added Arief, is in accordance with President Prabowo's direction to implement Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution as Indonesia's economic blueprint which emphasizes the great role of the state in managing the natural wealth of the country for the prosperity of the people.
Arief said AMPI believes that Bahlil Lahadalia is a leader who acts with integrity and alignment with the people, especially in the context of fair and sustainable development in the Land of Papua.
"In this case, AMPI fully supports the government's commitment to every effort to manage the country's wealth as optimally as possible for the benefit," he concluded.
