Krakatau Steel Hands Over Aid For 189 Sacrificial Animals

JAKARTA - PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk and the Group on Saturday, June 7, 2025 handed over 189 sacrificial animal assistance worth approximately Rp. 2 billion. Located in the Krakatau Steel Pusdiklat area, the handover of the sacrificial animals was attended by the Cilegon City Government Representative Head of the People's Welfare Section H. Rahmatullah, the Directors of Krakatau Steel and the Group and local village officials.

"Krakatau Steel this year, Alhamdulillah, can provide 189 sacrificial animals to the people of Cilegon City. And what distinguishes them from previous years is that we carry out the process of slaughtering and slaughtering sacrificial animals using the services of the Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha) so that God willing, in accordance with the Shari'a and sacrificial meat that we provide, this is halal. This is one of our efforts to provide the best for the people of Cilegon City every year, "explained the President Director of Krakatau Steel Muhamad Akbar Djohan, in his written statement, Monday, June 9.

At Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri this year, Krakatau Steel Group handed over sacrificial animals consisting of 45 cows and 144 goats, slaughtered, and distributed to 8 sub-districts and 43 urban villages in the city of Cilegon.

Akbar Djohan added, the wisdom of the handover of sacrificial animals includes the synergy and collaboration between Krakatau Steel and Group together with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum along with the Kelurahan and Sub-district ranks, there is empowerment of local breeders to fulfill the needs of the sacrificial animals provided, as well as benefits in improving the welfare of the people around Cilegon City in their provision.

"No matter how difficult it is, we continue to strive to prioritize religious life and get closer to God as a significant factor for the return of the company's glory. Hopefully, we can continue to build this synergy and collaboration for the blessings of Krakatau Steel and for the people of Cilegon City which are better in the future," concluded Akbar Djohan.

"We appreciate the giving of sacrifices, which this time even strives to be halal and the provision of sacrificial meat is consistently carried out by Krakatau Steel and the Group every year. Alhamdulillah, our residents can experience the Eid of Hajj by eating beef or goats where some of them may not even necessarily eat beef or goats once a year," said Head of the People's Welfare Section H. Rahmatullah.
