BYD Launches Seal 06 EV, IDR 200 Million Electric Sedan

JAKARTA - BYD officially launched a low-cost electric sedan, Seal 06 EV, which is included in the Ocean family and was launched at the Chongqing automotive exhibition.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Monday, June 9, this electric sedan offers three choices of variants priced starting from 109,800 yuan or Rp240 million which are pinned with a 46.08 kWh battery, for the middle variant with a 56.64 kWh battery priced 119,800 yuan (Rp271 million) and the last with the same capacity at 129,800 or Rp294 million.

Each variant offers a distance ranging from 470 km, 545 km, and 545 km with CLCT counts. In detail, this sedan has a length of 4,720 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, and a height of 1,495 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

The three variants are rear wheels driven models, with motor peaks of 110 kW, 160 kW, and 160 kW, and maximum torques of 220 Nm, 330 Nm, and 330 Nm, respectively.

The entry-level variant can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h within 4.1 seconds, while the other two variants achieve it within 3.1 seconds. It is quite interesting with a car priced at IDR 200 million.

BYD Seal 06 EV also supports fast charging, with a peak charging power of 103 kW, which allows it to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent within 24 minutes.

Interestingly, this electric sedan is equipped with BYD's Eye C's smart driving system, with a DiPilot 100 smart driving solution. This solution does not use LiDAR, but uses camera-based vision solutions.
