Limited Water Supply Becomes A Fire Extinguishing Constraint In Kapuk Muara
JAKARTA - The process of extinguishing hundreds of houses that caught fire in the Kapuk Muara area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, experienced problems. Some of them ares, which is a densely populated residential area and a limited water supply.
"Yes, in the meantime, it is a dense area, so for access as usual, our access to water must also have available reservoirs," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Bayu Meghantara, quoted on Saturday, June 7.
With the difficulty of water sources and areas that are burned large enough, officers must look for water points in the river or others.
"Indeed, because the area is quite wide, we need relatively more water. And now we are constantly trying to find water support for cooling at this time," said Bayu.
A total of 450 houses caught fire on Jalan Duta Harapan Indah 7, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta (Jakut) caught fire on Friday, June 6, at 12.18 WIB.
