Corruption Files For Palm Oil Plantation Permits In Musi Rawas Complete, Former Bengkulu Governor Immediately Tried
The Prosecutor's Office handed over the case files and indictments of five suspects in the alleged corruption case in the Natural Resources (SDA) sector for the issuance of the Rights Control Letter (SPH) for oil palm plantation permits to the Corruption Court at the Palembang District Court (PN), Thursday, June 6.
"It is true that we from the Musi Rawas Kejari in collaboration with the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office have transferred the case files and indictments for alleged corruption of SPH permits for oil palm plantations to the 1 A special class PN for Palembang Corruption," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Musi Rawas Imam Murtadlo after the delegation, confiscated by Antara.
Imam explained that the case carried out by the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office had named five suspects, namely, the former Bengkulu Governor who is also the former Musi Rawas Regent Riduan Mukti, and the Director of PT. DAM in 2010 Efendi Suryono.
Then the Head of the Investment and Licensing Integrated Services Agency (BPMPTP) Musi Rawas 2008-2013 Saiful Ibna, Secretary of BPMPTP Musi Rawas in 2008-200111 Amrullah and Head of Mulyoharjo 2010-2016 Bachtiar Village.
"This case in the investigation was carried out by the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Pidsus Team. But because the case was included in the jurisdiction of the Musi Rawas Kejari, the case was transferred to be handled by the prosecutor by the Musi Rawas Kejari," explained Imam.
"The files that we delegated today have five case files, one each with one case file, including the case file involving the former Bengkulu Governor who is also the former Musi Rawas Regent," he added.
When asked about state losses, Imam explained that in the indictment for state financial losses in the case was around Rp. 61 billion.
According to the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Umaryadi SH MH, the modus operandi in this case is the issuance of illegal oil palm plantation permits on state land.

The suspects are suspected of being involved in the issuance of fictitious permits and the manipulation of the Rights Statement Document (SPH) for the control of around 5,974.90 hectares of land, most of which are production forest areas and transmigration land.
"Of the total area of 10,200 hectares of land, about 5,974.90 hectares are areas that should not be converted. The permit issuance process is carried out in illegal ways, including document forgery and administrative embezzlement," explained Umaryadi.
The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office is still investigating the flow of funds and the role of each suspect in the case.
The allegation of involvement of more parties also does not rule out the possibility, along with the development of the investigation.
