Thank Nikita Mirzani's Transfer, Karutan Pondok Bambu: We Are Treated Like Other Prisoners

JAKARTA - Ahead of the trial of the alleged threat and extortion of his victim Reza Gladys, Nikita Mirzani was transferred to the Pondok Bambu Detention Center (Rutan).

Head of the Pondok Bambu Detention Center (Karutan), Nebi Viarleni, confirmed that during the detention period Nikita would not receive special treatment and would participate in all prison activities.

"The activities that Nikita Mirzani must follow include sports, religious development activities must be given, just like other prisoners," said Nebi Viarleni when met in the Pondok Bambu area, East Jakarta, Thursday, June 5.

Nebi said that Nikita Mirzani also did not apply specifically during his detention period.

"There has been no request until now there has been no request, and it is the same as we treat the inmates or other detainees at the Pondok Bambu Detention Center," said Nebi Viarleni.

He added that all activities in the detention center would be in accordance with applicable operational standards.

"If it is important for us to undergo the SOP at the Pondok Bambu Detention Center, so if there are others, he must obey the rules at the Pondok Bambu Detention Center," said Nebi Viarleni.

Furthermore, Nikita's right to get a visit will still be given specifically to lawyers and their families.

"His rights are visited by lawyers, then if he is visited by the family, if he has passed the mapping period (for 1 month) he can be visited by his family," he concluded.
