Arriving In Jakarta, President Prabowo Receives A Visit From The Deputy PM Of Australia

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marlesse to Jakarta after carrying out a simultaneous corn harvest in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan.

The two meetings were immortalized in uploads from the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat @sekretariat.kabinet with the added -TIW- and the hashtag #CatatanSeskab which is a personal upload from Cabinet Secretary Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"Arriving in Jakarta after a working visit to Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, President Prabowo Subianto immediately received a visit from the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. Richard Marles," wrote Seskab Teddy in a number of photos uploaded by the @sekretariat account.kabinet on Thursday, June 5 reported by ANTARA.

Seskab Teddy explained that the meeting took place at President Prabowo's private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta.

Teddy said the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Marles to meet with the President to discuss a number of strategic steps in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Previously, President Prabowo attended the simultaneous corn harvest in the second quarter of 2025 and the release of the first export of corn to Malaysia in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, Thursday.

When he arrived at the event location, Prabowo visited an agricultural technology exhibition booth, including agricultural equipment and machinery (alsintan) technology such ascorn harvesters, Polri food security business processes, corn storage warehouses, West Kalimantan Police hydropower factories, Bengkayang Sejahtera Cooperative booths, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk., PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk., and a number of MSME products assisted by the local government and the Ministry of Agriculture.

Prabowo seemed to hear an explanation from the booth officer about the products on display.

Sometimes the President also asks questions to officers and discusses with the Chief of Police, the Minister of Agriculture, and the Minister of Trade.

The peak of President's activities in Bengkayang was marked by the release of 1,200 tons of corn first exports from Bengkayang Regency to Sarawak, Malaysia.
