Governor Koster Sentil Regent Who Costs Bali Arts Party
DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster poked a stingy regent budgeting the cost of the art team to participate in the XLVII Arts Party (PKB) in 2025.
"So later I will invite the poor regents to sit down, so if they are stingy with the same culture as in Bali, they will make other aspects of life," said Koster, Thursday, June 5.
The governor said that local governments should be the most aggressive in facilitating artists, because culture is also part of Bali's life and economy.
At the Bali Arts Festival, Governor Koster saw that there were still inequality between nine regencies/cities in Bali, especially from the number of participants sent for the stage from June 21, July 19, 2025.
"Our creative economy has a source of culture, one of which is culture, so don't be stingy about cultural affairs in Bali, shame on us and the people who are so passionate," he said.
The Bali Provincial Government recorded that the districts with the lowest participation were Jembrana, Buleleng, and Karangasem Regencies, where they suspected that this participant was hit by a budget to bring artists to Denpasar, the main location of PKB XLVII.
In addition, because this year's Bali Arts Festival has a knock-on budget in 2024, it is possible that this small budget is because these areas are held by the regent's acting (Pj).
"So this needs attention, number one is the responsibility of the Bali Provincial Government. Pak Kadis Culture in the future for the Regencies of Karangasem, Buleleng, Jembrana, maybe even Klungkung and Bangli we support more with APBD funds," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, there are three regions where according to him PAD is able to support cultural activities such as Denpasar City, Badung Regency, and Gianyar.
"Thanks to the enthusiastic regencies, especially Badung Regency, because the PAD is high, the Denpasar is high, Gianyar is high, it seems, indeed, but if the commitment is not strong, he doesn't want a lot of money, he also wants it," said Koster.
The Bali Provincial Government sees the importance of support for the largest performing of art in Bali, because during this month it will be a place of cultural preservation ranging from old art content to modern.
Koster himself promised that in 2026 the Bali Provincial Government will add a budget for the Bali Arts Festival, this spirit of preservation will not only be thrown into the community.
"I heard that the PKB budget is not enough, this is because I am not participating in the preparation, but in 2026 I will increase it, this culture must really be everyone's commitment," he said.
