AMI Awards 2025 Registration Opens, Presents Two New Categories
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Music Award (AMI) Awards as the leading music award event in Indonesia will be held for the 28th time this year.
Candra Darusman as Chair of the Indonesian Music Award Foundation (YAMI) also expressed his gratitude for the journey of AMI, which for almost three decades appreciated Indonesian musicians.
"We are grateful that for 28 years AMI is still ongoing. AMI is the only one that has been going on for years, the only one who has paid attention to more than 60 categories. This is a sign of how varied Indonesian music is," Candra said at a press conference at the Ministry of Culture, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 5.
Candra also announced that the 2025 AMI Awards registration has been open since 27 May, and will continue until 5 July.
Registration is done online, by submitting musical works released both digitally and physically during the period 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
This process can be done by first registering a label/individual account through management.ami-awards.com/label. Later, the registered works will enter the categorization trial stage.
At the same time, Candra also announced two new categories for this year, namely contemporary music and vocal directors.
