Stress Test Not Completed, PDN Operations Still According To June's Target

CIKARANG - The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is still targeting the Cikarang National Data Center (PDN) to operate in June this year.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria stated that currently, PDN is still undergoing a stress test and a thorough evaluation of several critical points, especially regarding cybersecurity aspects.

Nezar also said that this resilience test was carried out together by involving the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), to ensure data security that complies with existing standards.

"Yes, we are in a stress test and we are also seeing several critical points in PDN, especially how the security measure can be completed with what has been determined by BSSN," he said when met in Cikarang, West Java on Thursday, June 5.

The Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade also emphasized that his party did not want to rush to operate this PDN, before all security standards were met.

"We have to meet that standard before we operate, because we already have experience with PDNS, so we don't want to repeat mistakes that have happened again," he said.

Although he did not mention the exact date, Nezar stated that the target for the operation of the Cikarang PDN was still in June 2025.

"This is June, right, hopefully this month it can be finished," said Nezar.
