Manchester United Increase Efforts To Get Mbeumo From Brentford

JAKARTA - Manchester United have increased their interest in Bryan Mbeumo.

According to ESPN, the Red Devils are working on an agreement for the Brentford striker after completing their move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha.

There is confidence at Old Trafford that Mbeumo wants to join Manchester United despite failing to qualify for the European tournament.

You see, Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap refuses to move to Manchester United for Chelsea due to his participation in next season's Champions League.

Mbeumo has caught Ruben Amorim's attention after scoring 20 goals in the Premier League for the 2024/2025 season.

The 25-year-old has scored 70 goals in 242 appearances for Brentford since arriving from Troyes in 2019. He is under contract at the Gtech Community Stadium until 2026 with the option of a one-year extension.

He is priced at more than 50 million by Brentford despite Manchester United hoping to negotiate lower costs.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze is another option. However, it will be difficult to attract the England international from Selhurst Park.

Manchester United are ready to complete Cunha's move after the international break ends. The Brazil international has completed a medical examination and signed a five-year contract after his release clause of 62.5 million pounds was approved.
