Eid Holiday, KAI Records 580,444 Tickets Already Sold
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted the high enthusiasm of the community in taking advantage of the long holiday momentum of Eid al-Adha 2025. Based on temporary data as of today, at 10.50 WIB, ticket sales reached 580.444.
For your information, the Eid al-Adha holiday and collective leave will take place from 5 to 9 June 2025.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said ticket sales reached 580,444 or 68 percent of the total seating capacity provided, namely 849,893 seats.
Furthermore, Anne said the flow of departure has shown congestion since today. Today, June 5, 2025 alone, the number of temporary customers has reached 186,252 out of a capacity of 168,046 seats, or 111 percent.
"Occupancy that exceeds 100 percent is possible through the dynamic system of boarding passengers at various stations along the track, so that one seat can be used for more than one passenger in a day," he said in an official statement, Thursday, June 5.
During the period 5 to 9 June 2025, the total number of long-distance train (JJ) customers reached 510,051 people out of 708,972 available seats, with an average occupancy of 72 percent. Meanwhile, local train services recorded 70,393 customers out of 140,921 capacities, with an occupancy of 50 percent.
"Ticket sales are still ongoing and these figures will continue to increase near the peak of backflow," he said.
KAI urges the public to immediately plan their trip and purchase tickets early through official channels such as the Access by KAI application or the booking.kai.id site, to avoid running out of tickets, especially on dense relations.
