Fast Boat Carrying 77 Overturned Foreigners Hit By Waves At Sanghyang Harbor, Passengers Are Safe
KLUNGKUNG - Sea accident occurred at Tanjung Sanghyang Port, in Lembongan Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency, Bali.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, said that the Tanis fast boat carried dozens of passengers capsized by the waves, Wednesday, June 4 afternoon.
"At around 18.30 WITA, the evacuation process for all passengers has been completed with the condition of all passengers safe and zero casualties," said Kombes Ariasandy.
Boat The Tanis takes passengers at Tanjung Sanghyang Port to Sanur port, Denpasar.
When they withdrew after taking off their anchors, the boat was suddenly hit by waves from behind which caused the boat to tilt to the left, causing it to lose balance until the Tanis boat capsized at a location not far from the shoreline.
"Knowing about the incident, the people who were around the location immediately helped evacuate the passengers of The Tanis boat," he added.

"Based on the shahbandar statement, the seating capacity of The Tanis boat is 125 seats.
"For now, efforts are still being made to evacuate the overturning Tanis boat at Tanjungan Sangiang Port, Lembongan Village," he said.
