Indonesia Open 2025: Fajar/Rian Maintenance Record
JAKARTA Men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto beat Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard to qualify for the second round of the Indonesia Open 2025 while keeping a record unbeaten against the pair.
Fajar/Rian, who are the sixth seed in the tournament, secured tickets thanks to the victory of two straight games 21-10 and 21-19 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, evening WIB.
In this match, Fajar/Rian appeared dominant in the first game by immediately scoring three consecutive points. Their position could not be overtaken after that.
Fajar/Rian then underwent the second game which took place more fiercely. They were left behind twice at the beginning and were forced to play tight until the end of the game.

This is Fajar/Rian's third victory over the Danish pair. Two previous victories took place at the French Open 2023 and Indonesia Masters 2025 in January 2025.
The Ministry of Agriculture Fajar/Rian made Indonesia have two men's doubles in the second round of the Indonesia Open 2025. Of the total three men's doubles that participated in this tournament, only one went home.
The former world number one follows in the footsteps of Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, who had already qualified for the second round on the first day, Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Another men's doubles that were confirmed to be lifting the suitcase earlier were Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana. They fell on the ground of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty.
Fajar/Rian are the third representatives of Indonesia to qualify for the second round today. Two before them were Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahaya Sari Jamil.
