Bali Police Ditlantas Prepares 7 Confinement Post Points Ahead Of Prohibition Of Homecoming
DENPASAR - Ahead of the Eid homecoming ban starting May 6, the Bali Police Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) began to tighten the journey for travelers.
Dirlantas Polda Bali Kombes Indra said, for the tightening, his party added two tightening posts which were originally 5 now to 7 posts in the Bali region.
Two additional blocking posts are located at Padang Bai Harbor in Karangasem, and Simpang Pejarakan in Buleleng Regency, Bali.
"There are a total of seven isolation posts in Bali. This is in anticipation of travel in accordance with the Central Covid-19 Task Force No. 13 of 2021 concerning the elimination of homecoming during this year's Eid al-Fitr celebration," Indra said when contacted, Monday, May 3.
The personnel prepared are a joint team at each isolation post. Officers from TNI-Polri, Transportation Service, Satpol PP and BPBD are on standby for 24 hours.
In addition, for people who are leaving Bali or during isolation. He said that it was not enough for the public to only carry a Covid-19 free health certificate and also to show an Entry and Exit Permit (SIKM).
If, he does not complete the letter or document, his party will ask the public or travelers to make a U-turn.
"We are asked to turn around to prevent the spread of COVID-19," he added.
Not only that, the police will also take firm action if there is illegal travel that accuses travelers.
"If there is later we will take firm action against them, it is clear (not allowed), if the travel is dark, the count is not a public car, it is a private car. If it is found we will get a ticket and we will cover the car," he said.
Meanwhile, for the details of the seven confinement posts in Bali, namely the Umanyar Interchange in the city of Denpasar, the Simpang Megati in Tabanan Regency, the Jembrana Regency Cekik Terminal, the Simpang 4 Masceti in Gianyar Regency, Yeh Malet, Karangasem Regency, Padang Bai Port, and the Pejarakan Simpang Buleleng Regency.
"Hopefully the community will not go home, because we have been socializing it since early April. So, we must adhere to health protocols, obey government recommendations, all for the common good," said Kombes Indra.
