Depok Asks DKI Provincial Government To Add Transjabodetabek And MRT Routes To Its Regions

Deputy Mayor of Depok Chandra Rahmansyah asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to increase the Transjabodetabek route into his area. He hopes that Transjakarta buses that are now operating to the University of Indonesia (UI) can be forwarded to the terminal in Depok.

This was revealed by Chandra during the inauguration of the Transjabodetabek service on the Sawangan-Lebak Bulus route by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno.

"Hopefully Transjakarta is also corridors that have not entered Depok today, only arrived near UI, but that is still before Srengseng Sawah, it can also be withdrawn to the Depok City terminal and Jatijajar Terminal," said Chandra at the Lebak Bulus Transjakarta Bus Stop, South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 4.

In addition, Chandra also hopes that the DKI Provincial Government can add to the point of dismissing the Jakarta MRT from the Lebak Bulus Depot to be forwarded to Depok.

"Next, we hope that in the future it will not only be this, but MRT, Mr. Deputy Governor, not only to South Tangerang, but also to turn it into Depok," Chandra asked.

That way, Chandra believes that the operation of Transjabodetabek Sawangan-Lebak Bulus and the addition of other routes can reduce the level of congestion in Depok because there is a transfer of use of private vehicles to public transportation.

"In DKI Jakarta, the commuter community is 40 percent from Depok. Obviously, we are sure that we will help unravel and reduce road congestion in Depok City. together, we also appeal to the people of Depok City who have been active in Jakarta to switch to public transportation," he said.

In launching the Transjabodetabek Sawangan-Lebak Bulus service with the D41 bus code, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Kaeno said there were 10 bus fleets serving this route, with six stop points in Jakarta and five points outside Jakarta.

The route has a travel time during peak hours of about 150 minutes (going back and forth), while at non-holiday hours it is about 70 minutes (going back and forth).

"This is our joint effort of the Depok City Government (Pemkot) to reduce the use of private vehicles, so that they can reduce the level of congestion and reduce air pollution," explained Rano.

The points of dismissal from Sawangan to Lebak Bulus are Sawangan Terminal, Palung Intersection Confused 1, opposite Dana Sawangan Street, Fatmawati MRT Station, Siloam Hospital, and Lebak Bulus.

Then, the points of dismissal from Lebak Bulus to Sawangan were Lebak Bulus, Pondok Pinang, TB Simatupang Center, St Stefanus Church, Dana Sawangan Street, Parung Intersection were confused by 2, and Sawangan Terminal.

This Transjabodetabek Sawangan-Lebak Bulus route has a length of 37 kilometers. The waiting time between buses during peak hours is 10 minutes and outside of peak hours for 20 minutes.
