Indonesia Open 2025: Dejan/Fadia Early Fall

JAKARTA The mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti returned early in the first round of the Indonesia Open 2025. They lost against sixth seed Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran.

Dejan/Fadia lost against the Thai representative in the two straight games 18-21 and 13-21 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, morning WIB.

Dejan/Fadia are Indonesia's third mixed doubles to return from this tournament, following in the footsteps of Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanulle Widjaja.

This result adds to Dejan/Fadia's ups and downs graph since they were paired starting earlier this year at the India Open 2025. This is their fifth time they have fallen early in the first half of a total of 10 tournaments.

Istora Senayan also doesn't seem to side with this couple. When they played their second tournament at the Indonesia Masters 2025, their steps were also stopped in the first half.

So far, mixed doubles have secured two tickets for the second half. Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, who also played today.

Previously, on the first day, June 3, 2025, Indonesia had managed to secure eight tickets to the second round of the BWF Super 1000 level event.

The tickets were secured by Jonatan Christie, Alwi Farhan, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Siti Sarah Azzahra/Agnia Sri Rahayuani, Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum, and Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.
