COVID-19 Cases Increase In Neighboring Countries, Indonesia Is Alert

JAKARTA - Three neighboring countries in Indonesia, namely Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases. In Singapore, the increase in COVID-19 cases was estimated at 14,200 cases in early May.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, according to data from the Malaysian Ministry of Health website, as of May 8,609 cases occurred. Data from WHO. in Thailand there was a spike of up to 69.2 thousand cases of COVID-19 during the April-May period.

Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi told reporters, Tuesday, June 3, that the data on COVID-19 cases was still relatively small. However, Hasan Nasbi reminded the public to return to maintaining health protocols.

According to him, the government does not remain silent to anticipate the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, in several neighboring countries, there has been a spike in COVID-19 cases.
