Mother In Serang Injured By Husband's Knife In Front Of Children's School

SERANG - A resident of Pamarican Environment, Banten Village, Kasemen District, Serang City, Banten, with the initials SM (40) was stabbed by her husband, AH (43), while taking his son's diploma at SMPN 5 Serang City.

The Head of the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) of the Serang City Police, Ipda Febby Mufti Ali, in Serang, said that the stabbing took place on Monday (2/6) at around 13.30 WIB in the SMPN 5 Serang City.

The SM, which had arrived at school first, was suddenly approached by AH while carrying a knife that was pointing at the victim's neck. The action was caught on CCTV which seemed to have caused a stir between students and local residents.

"The perpetrator ran towards the victim and immediately grabbed a knife at the victim's neck so that the victim suffered lacerations to the neck," he told ANTARA, Wednesday, June 4.

SM was rushed to the Banten Regional Hospital (RSUD) by witnesses.

Ipda Febby said that the perpetrator AH was immediately arrested after the stabbing of his wife.

In front of the officers, the perpetrator admitted to stabbing his wife because she was hurt that she was not allowed to bring her 7 year old third child. It is strongly suspected that AH's motive for stabbing his wife was due to a child custody conflict.

"SM and AH have been separated for about 3 months, the victim (SM) did not give the perpetrator time to bring his son to live with the perpetrator," he said.
