The Sisdiknas Bill Is Called Must Guarantee The Quality And Quality Of National Education

JAKARTA - Member of Commission X DPR RI Andi Muawiyah Ramly, emphasized the importance of the Draft Law on the National Education System (RUU Sisdiknas) to firmly guarantee the improvement of the quality and quality of education in Indonesia.

The man who is familiarly called Amure said that the renewal of the Sisdiknas Bill should not only be administrative or normative, but must touch on substantial aspects that have a direct impact on the learning process, the welfare of educators, and equitable access to quality education throughout Indonesia.

"The Sisdiknas Bill must be a strong legal umbrella, which provides assurances for the quality of education," said Amure, Wednesday, June 4.

"We can no longer talk about education only in terms of participation, but also in terms of quality. That means, the national education standard must be strengthened and the implementation is closely monitored," he continued.

Furthermore, the PKB legislator from the South Sulawesi II electoral district also highlighted the importance of recognition of all forms of education, including education based on local wisdom. As well as the need for alignment between formal and non-formal education so that there is no dichotomy that harms students.

Amure also encourages this bill to include a commitment to increasing teacher competence in a sustainable manner, proper incentives, and legal protection for educators.

"We want this bill to provide a sense of justice for all education actors. Educational quality will not increase if teachers are not taken seriously," he said.

Amure pun menegaskan bahwa Komisi X DPR RI akan terus mengawal pembahasan RUU Sisdiknas agar sejalan dengan semangat reform pendidikan yang berorientasi pada kualitas, inklusivitas, dan keberberlanjutan.

"The key to education is in quality, inclusive and sustainable. The three of them cannot be separated in our education system. Therefore, I hope that, and I will definitely continue to oversee it, the revision of the National Education System Law will have to be oriented to the three keys," he concluded.
