VOI Today: Covid-19 Cases Are Rising Again, What Should People Do?

JAKARTA - The Coronavirus is spreading again in 2025? The Indonesian Ministry of Health has just released a statement that there are 72 Covid-19 cases in Indonesia as of May 2025. On Tuesday, June 3, Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin was summoned by President Prabowo Subianto after the spike in Covid-19 cases in a number of neighboring countries, including in Indonesia.

The Ministry of Health has also issued a Circular (SE) to be aware of the spread of Covid-19. Even so, the Minister of Health said that we do not need to worry. Meanwhile, the palace through the Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi asked the Indonesian people to be vigilant. The question is, what should the Indonesian government do? Do policies such as restrictions or vaccine obligations need to be implemented, like the previous 2020 pandemic?
