JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti reminded all parties to follow the rules and regulations set by his party regarding the implementation of teaching and learning activities in basic and secondary education units.

Mu'ti made the statement in response to journalists' questions regarding the new instructions from the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi regarding changes in school hours.

"So, yes, there are provisions from the ministry regarding how long to study at school, then also school days there are provisions at the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education," said the Minister of Education, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 3.

Therefore, he hopes that the provincial, district and city governments can understand it so that they can formulate policies that are in line with the rules and regulations of the ministry that are still in effect.

"So all parties should understand whatever the policy is, we hope to always refer to what has become a policy in the ministry," said Mu'ti.

Previously, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi instructed all regencies and cities in the province to enforce various rules for elementary to middle school students, from curfews, study days Monday to Friday, until school hours at 06.00.
